■i The -final of. the 'chanipionship .of, the coun-try-clubs was played at Taonui (near Feiltling) .on Saturday,- when the/Mahoe (Queen's Park) .Club from Wanganui defeated the homo Ohakea-Taoriui Club by 'eight, matches, to one. Inspite 'of- : a strong - wind and-: one slight shower- the ' .matches were hotly- contested; Tiifi visitors were most hospitably, entertained, and one and all . spent' a- thoroughly. enjoyable day, getting back to Wanganui at nine o'clock. By tbiS -uiatch the Mahoe Club thus .wins--the Association's Cup for-one year,- and . will play the , winners /of the City Clubs' Senior Shield competition to ;de'cide"-the . championship of the province.
