Copies of these gentlemen's reports aro attached to the, prospectus From these it will bo observed that thero is amplo coal obtainable Tho Brokers need hardly point out that BRUNNER COAL is so well known in all parts 'of tho Dominion that description of its composition, structure, calorific value etc., i 6 not required. It is admittedly ono of. the best bituminous coals in Australasia! and ono admirably suited for steam, smithy, or household use. For coko making its properties aro widely appreciated, and as a gas coal it bears palm of being the bost in the world. In this connection it may be pointed out that the gasworks of Now Zealand consnmo annually over 200,000 tons of coal, and the consumption is rapidly increasing. For gas making purposes thero is at prosent existent a special and certain markot for doublo the present output of Brunner coal, and for all other purposes that good coal is reqmrod, Brunner we'll nolds its own in the front rank of competitors. Tho FIRE-CLAY underlying',-the .Brunner coal is admirably adapted for the manufacture of every class of firc-brick and fire-clay goods. .At' present the consumption within New Zealand is considorablo, and an annual profit of £1000 can bo obtained without difficulty. With special methods and plant for the manufacture of gasworks retorts, the profit could bo materially increased. In tho ovent of iron being produced within the Dominion, Brunner fire-clay goods would bo in considerable doYnand. As an' adjunct; to colliery'operations this mattor m well worth attention.
