Mr. M.-K. Litchfield, who. is studying at . the University of Pennsylvania for the, do. groo of Doctor of Dental Surgery, has sent to his father, Mr. B. M. Litchfield, chief auditor of the Bank of Now Zealand; a very gratifying report of his progress'.' Iu the last mid-year examination ho gained an average of 84 2-3 per cent, of marks, sccuring'.9o in • '' general chemistry, SO in anatomy, and 84 in histology. He, states that Mr; Rupert. Sutton, of Masterton, has done even better,, having oome out \top of his class in the samo examination, with a general average of 911-3 per cont; of marks. Thoro wore 137 studenta in the class. '
The Wellington Boxing Association met yesterday afternoon for the purpose of making a presentation to Mr. Ernest A. Blundell, who has boon, a valued member pf tho committee since the inoeption of the insti--tution, tho, occasion being his 'approaching { marriage. Mr. R,. W. M'Villy, a vice-presi-dent, who .occupied the chair, referred' in eulogistic terms to the wqrk of Mr. Blundell.'' On behalf of tho Association,- it gave liira ycry great pleasure to ask- Mr..
