While a carnival was in progress at Braganca; Portugal, a now feature was provided in tho shapo of a re-construction of tho assassination scene when King Carlos and tho Crown Prince Luiz met their deaths. ;"A' ; peasant ;.represented King Carlos, and tho peasant's eldest son represented the Crown Prince. Tho peasant's second son impersonated Manuel Buica, one of the King's al.legod askissins, who was shot. , .While acting his part, " Buica," not knowing that tho revolver ho was using was loaded, fired and killed his fathc-r. The son was so much shocked'.when ho saw what he had done that ho had to be forcibly restrained from committing suicide.
