COLLISION IN A FOG.
; ; ELEVEN PERSONS INJURED. : i London, February .23. ■ Yesterday, while tho fog lay thick over London and the '.surrounding districts,' a/ serious railway accident occurred on . the London and South-Western /Railway -.nt Wimbledon. As the result of a collision between two trains on their, way to Waterloo eleven' persons were injured, ■ three of tlieih seriously. At twenty minutes past fivo a train from Leathorhoad to Waterloo was stationary oil the up main line between Rayncs I'ark aiul Wimbledon. In the dense fog another t'rairi travelling from .Southampton to Londoncamo up on tho samo line arid ran into the rear of tho Stationary train. "There was a great crash of breaking glass arid' splinter,iiig woodwork, and it became apparent that, though, llono of tho carriages had left tho rails, at least ono of them was seriously damaged. Officials from Wimbledon Station were quickly on the spot, aiid , the injured were helped out. Local doctors, including tho Mayor of Wimbledon (Dr. Collier) rendered, ready aid,, and the .more seriously injured, of the passengers were iukeai to the South Wimbledon Cottage Hospital,
