PHYSICAL TRAINING SCHOOL.
: ' * ! — Tho thirteenth annual meeting of the Wellington . Physical Training School was held in the gymnasium, Manners Street, on Thursday evening. Mr. T. S. Ronaldson presided, and there ■ were about fifty members of the school present. In moving the adoption of tho'report arid balance-sheet,. tho Chairman congratulated' the members on the satisfactory state of *'the[ finances, which showed a substantial credit balance, while there were no liabilities on last season's account; this after providing a new piano at a cost of ovei £40, while tho plant had been kept in firstclass order and\ considerably added to. "' Mr;' Ronaldson reminded the members thai tho school.was. really kept going to devcloj tho' pbysiquo of- tho (young, and to keep the middle-aged in good health, and not for tlx purpose of giving displays and turning oul first-class acrobats. Ho also .paid a bigl 'tribute to the: services rendored by. tho in ■structor, Mr. Dove'y. The following officers were cleoted for th< onsuing season President, Sir Joseph Wart (re-elected); vice-presidents, all last year's re 'elcctod; hon. secretary, Mr. Morris; hon treasurer, Mr. Jones; committee, Messrs Pyke, Huttori, Thornton, Alpe, Morgan Johnstone,'aud Robinson.
