—''. . ■ — : — ' " TEE. DIAMOND CLUB. '• The fourteenth 'annual'' meeting of. tho Diamond Association Football Club, was •'held in Arniit's room last evening. , Mr. E. H. Davonport occupied"; tho chair, . and there were about thirty-five 1 members present. ■ The; annual report stated that tlio receipts from all sources amounted to : «£l3 Os.. 4d., and the expenditure to 17s.'3dJ', leaving a credit of 3s. Id. During tlie soasbn the Senior team played twelve. matches altogether, winning lour, losing, four; and drawing, four. The goals scored for , totalled • 22, and goals against 21. The Junior team plavtd nine niatchcs, won. two,-, and lost seven. Iliiie goals were scored for, and ".nineteen against. The Fifth League team; played .fourteen .matches, won seven, lost five, and drew twrf. Eighteen goals wevo; scored, for, and-ten; against. The Senior team, was not so successful, as in tiie past. For the second' time only,, since the initiation of tho Charity Cup ' competition (many years ago), the Senior, team was unsuccessful .in winning honours. The Junior team did not make, a good, showing, but' their failure is largely accounted for" by the loss of' several prominent players. A feature of the season's performances was the splendid fight made by tho Fifth League (boys) team, who showed great enthusiasm. - Senior representative honours were gained, by:—W. Egberts, T./ Thorlpy, J. ,Black, H. Tempest, E. Dully; and the. Club was represented in, the Filth League team by F. Harris and C.' Kelly. The ■ chairman considered tho position of the Club was satisfactory,. but urged that outstanding subscriptions should be paid; in,, in. order to' strengthen the financial' position, of the' Club. ; General regret was expressed at the. loss by death of Mr. W. J. . Hamilton. The adoption of. the report and. balance-sheet, was agreed to.. . .1 Eight .new .members were-elected. Bernard; The election of the third-class-■ officers., was. left over until'a future, meeting. . It was decided to commence' practicc' on March 23. . POLHILL CLUB. ' Tho annualmeeting' of the Polhill Football Club was held in tho schoolroom, Mitchelltown, last night. . The. annual report-.and ■ balance-sheet were read, showing the" Club to ' be in a sound financial condition, having a credit balance of J!8 15s. 6d. Last season the Club entered two teams for the third and fifth championships. Medals were presented to M. Kyiio as best, forward, and P. George as best back in the third-classi grade;'.and in-the fifth-class Io,F. Murphy as best forward, and C. Murray as host back. A special trophy was awarded to C. Carmody. Tho ifollowing officers were elected for tho ensuing .year':'— Patron, Mr. 11. Mitchell; president, Mr. D. Murphy; vice-presidents. Messrs. E. Darroch, ' Skinner,' S. Luke, Max Voss, C. D.
