' ' Deceased,.was'";a very old .colonist: Ho arrived in the colony by the ship George Fife in. 1842, and resided at tho: Hutt' and Taita for a number of years, afterwards farming at Saiidon for 1 upwards of 20 years. He removed to this district about fifteen years ago. He leaves a widow, and a family of five sons and fivo daughters.-
