Recently, in : the' Judge's room at Dunedm, there took jilace the final act in • a drama in which the late 11 Elijah" Dowio was at one time , a prominent actor.. Mr. Fre'dorick Sutton, of Thornbury, made a iyill in favour of Dowie/ and after protracted litigation: ill" America s ;the wru was upset, and the result was to revive a former New Zealand ■ will, ujider-which all Mr. Sutton's relatives except two benefited. The Salvation Army also came in for a share. On the evidenco adduced at the trial in America, the .next' 'of kin and the Salvation Army agreed to treat'the will as u uullity,. and accordingly an application was made to Mr. Justice Williams to declare the will void and grant letters of administration to a brother of the deceased. His Honour mado an..order, granting lettors of administration to: John Bennieworth Sutton, oi Invorcargill, by consent, monetary payment being also directed to bo mado to the Salvation Army. This motion also disposes of tho action, Hawke and Fraser v. Sutton and others. ' '
