DEBATING SOCIETY.
At a meeting held at 82 Willis Street on Tuesday evening the Temperance Literary and Debating Society was fornied. 'Mr' W. Allan was unanimously elected president' • Mr. Ryan, vice-president; Miss PepperJ .treasurer; and Miss Smalley,' secretary.• A • Tory pleasant evening was spent;-A vote of thanks to Messrs. ,H; Q. Bruce and Rvan .was carried by acclamation. The party- then adjourned to supper. A meeting will be held next- Tuesday, when an address by : Mr. Ryan, entitled " The Benefit of Prov Dominibn l i'--flTll ba^iyea.
