ACCIDENT ON THE RAILWAY
MAN'S ARM AMPUTATED. A serious accident occurred at the Government Railway Yard yesterday afternoon, when a man named Edwin Brough .was run over V a truck. It appears that Brough, who was a casual hand employed in the goods shed, .tvas working on a truck which was beirfg shunted,'and was about to place a tarpaulin over the truck when he fell suddenly, the wheel of. tho truck passing over his arm. It is not clear how the accident occurred, as _no one appears • to' have' seen the man until the truck was 'over him Medical assistance was procured, and tho injured man was removed to tho Hospital, where it was found necessary to amputate his arm below the shoulder.
