In tho first place, .Colonel .Wakefield: did not come out in. the Adelaide, but the' Tory neither did, Mr.- Robert Park or, Mr.' Richard Hanson. Colonel Wakefield ; was never superintendent. nor Mr. B. D. Hanson Attornoy-General, the latter leaving, tho colony before., constitutional government was formed. If the late Mr. John Plimiuer .assisted'in tho ,erection of Mr. Tairie's house,'

it must havejbeen,stored,for over.two years after Mr. Taine's arrival, as it was not till then that 'tho latfe Mr. John Plimmer ,ar-, rived in, tho colony in tho, Gertrude. .Mr. Taine married tho adopted daughter of. the. late Edward .Gibbon! \Vakelield, not : the adopted daughter of • Colonel Wakefield.—l am, etc.,. ■ - -.
