DROUGHT AFFECTS THE BACON TRADE.
"Bacon pigs are a scarce commodity just now," remarked the representative of a pigbuying firm' in tho Forty Mile Bush, to a Dominion correspondent, "and it is j case of scouring the country to get a good lino -to truck away. This is attributable to the scarcity of milk, which compels settlers to sell off their pigs as porkers, and I trucks of these are leaving the district."
