' f ■ The . Victoria College• Graduates' Association; held its annual meeting at tho College last evening,. Mr. 11. P. Eichmond,: president, in the chair.. The ,annual report, congratulated ;the Association oil a successful year and, increased membership. The. balance-sheet showed. a small credit balance. . Me report made reference to 'tlie' fact that, the Senate'had decided to make representations to the Government in-the matter of the transfor of . electors. from ■ one University District Roll to , another, and; urged that , steps should also be taken'to prevent the abuse of proxies at elections. Elections during, the year re-sulted-in. the-return-of, Mr. H. von llaast to tho Senate, and Mr. A. E.,.Meek-to-tho Collego Council. ' ' ■ . ; • The election of oEcers resulted as follows: —President, ,Mr. F. A., do la Mare, 8.A.; secretary and treasurerj Miss C. M. Taylorcommittee,' Messrs.' M. Rigg, M.A,, . m! 'Wilson, M.A;, U. Watson, M.A.,, and A.''Ma<?dongall 9 8.A.. I 'V ■- ' It was decided to refer, to tho' incoming com-, nnttse, with power to act, , tho questions of presenting an Athletic Challerigo • Cup .'to'* the Students' Association, and ■' the entertainment of the now graduates of the year at a- social' function.' . .. " A discussion toijk place on the respective functions of the Association, and' the Court of Convocation, and tho opinion was generally expressed that the Graduates' Association has a distinct function to perform, iind could not with advantage be merged in - the larger body. " .
