At an inquiry concerning tlib inislinp to the steamer Maranoa, 1505 tons gross, which grounded off the Queensland coast but got off uninjured, the master (Captain Sharland) deposed that owing to, the illness> of .the Torres Straits pilot he was acting as pilot himself.
