At the annual meeting of the Auckland Slaughtermen's Union, held last' night, the sentiments recently exprfessed by some' labour leaders regarding the federation'of'all classes of labour was adversely commented upon. Whilst those present approved of a scheme for the federation of their own trade, they considered it unwise to'risk implication in the troubles of other trades of which they were ignorant, and could; not; .therefore,' ar> rive at a'wiso judgment of their merits.
