Accused would given a chance, and would bo discharged. Uark told' the' Magistrate that he ra a labourer, and had_ spent 'his money in drink.' He had been afraid''if he returned to his old job that the police would arrest him for.not paving • paid' a "fine of £5 in connection witli a liquor-selling ease.
