ITS RELATION; TO APPRENTICESHIP. J (BYTELEGRAFn —FHES3ABSOCIATION.) Auckland,' February 19.' A matter affecting tho period of indenture of. apprentices who havo undergone a course of instruction at .the Technical College was discussed at to-day's'mooting of , tho Auckland Education Board. It was pointed out that the instruction .gained by boys' at tho College was of considerable advantage to them, and it was held that this should be taken into account, by a reduction in tho period of apprenticeship. Tho Arbitration Court has, however, refused to view the 'matter'in this light,. Mr. George George, Director of Technical Education, said ho thought that two years at the College, should be considered as equal to one year's apprenticeship, and three years at the College as equal to two years' apprenticeship, but, in order to. bring this about,'it: would-bo-'necessary, to securo an amendment of tho Arbitration Act. He had, lie said, already seen the Minister for Education on the subject. On tho suggestion of tho Chairman (Mr. L.
