Banana Shortcako; Banana Shortcake. - Ingredients.—One-third of a cup of butter l_cup of sugar, 2 egg-vieun of mill;, 1J cups of flour, 2 1 level teaspoonfuls of baking powder, i bananas, meringue cream. Method.—Make a cake mixture with tho butter, sugar, eggs, flour, and baking powder, ana bake it in two rounds. Cut the bananas in.ha f, lengthways. Then whip the cream, or make some boiled custard, l'ut the bananas on top of_the'.cakes, which should be placed together on a large,dish that,can.be put in the oven for six minutes, Pour the cream or custard over (they.' should be very thick).'
