Arthur Vjcars—who as Ulster King of Arms had charge of the jewels, and who has since ,been relieved of his post—at the suggestion of an i Italian clairvoyant, fruitlessly searched, the. churchyards of Mulhuddart and Clondilla, hoping to find tho regalia concealed under tombstones. Another dreamer's help ; also proved useless. The Blue-book./shows that, Sir Arthur Vicars told Detective Kane,that ho suspccted Mr. Shackieton,. of , tho " Dublin Herald," implying that he, while a guest at the houso of Sir Arthur, .took impressions of the keys while the latter,..was in his bath.. Detective Kane considers thero is no case against Mri Shackloton, and th.o Commission completely exonerated him. • Vilr.
