FEILDIKG. 'A meeting of the Feilding branch of the Rational '"Defence Lcaguo was held in the Drill Hall Dn Friday, six mombors being present. A letter was rcccived from the-head-guarters of„the Dcfonce Leaguo stating that it was proposed to hold a conference in Wellington on April 2i: The secretary was instructed'to write forwarding the names of Captain Barltro'pand W.H. M'Lean as delegates from Feilding. A lotter was also received from .tho Minister for Defenco regavding a miniature riflo rango in Feilding, stating that no funds wero availablo for constructing riflo ranges unless in connection -with: volmrtcor ; forces. .It was decided that the Secretary should write .to the Education Department asking if anything had been dono'to establish miniature rifle-ranges in, connection with i'tho schools. -■ Thero wasa ■ gathering of' farmers at -; the Colyton . creamery . on ■■■': ■■Friday-•■■■; to make presentation to ■ Mri' P.
