Tlio butcher who was discharged yesterday for smoking while at work has not been taken on again. - With respect to the short-lived strike of butchers at the Pareora Freezing Works near Timaru, it appears that tho-men are working, , under an , industrial agreement which provides for one ten minutes' "smoko" in the morning,, and another of tho samo duration in the afternoon. Tho Labour Department received information yesterday that all tho men had returned to work that morning, and that operations at tho freezing works wero again in full swing. ■
