With buyers not inclined to pay tho prices lately ruling, there has been a weaker tone in the wheat market. On tho other hand, sellers are not yet disposed to accept any reduction, and in consequence little grain has changed hands. Sales nave been made at 4s.'2d. to 4s. 2Jd., and in some cases buyers are only offering 4s. Id. ■ v There are few oats being offered, and growers are firm in holding out for 2s. 2d., which price is being paid for good feed. ; Light samples have been purchased at 2s. The barley market is weaker, and apparently local buyers have.now filled the bulk of their requirements, and are reducing their limits of price. . For cocksfoot •up •to Gd. per lb. has been obtained by direct shipment north. Peas are not in Very , keen demand owing to the state of the London market.
