THE PIPE BRIDGE.
' ULTIMATUM BY THE 'CITY.' ■ The Wellington; Municipal authorities are taking steps to bring to a head tho somewhat protracted negotiations connected with tho proposed pipe .and traffic bridge over, tho Hutt Kiver at Petone. The Corporation is bound to erect a new bridge to carry the duplicated Wanui lhain,. and is willing : to co-operate-with the Suburban local- bodies and others interested. in the construction of a traffic bridge as a part. of tho same work. The l'ctone and Hutt Borough Councils have appointed delegates, and Mr. D. J, Nathan, in the absence of Mr. I>.
