• ' - J!EW. REGULATION. The following regulation, which appears to ' the current week's Gazette, affects thoss eniased'in the handling; of explosives:-:. > . (1.) Ever# person shall, be; to; altv" not" exceeding ■ fifty poi'mds; : who-smokes, ; strikes matches, or carries a light not approve-., bv an Inspector of Explosives,while, engaged or. employed in the landiu?, transhipment, car-. . riage, removal, or. handling, of an e-M lom\ a other' than those, of the sixth. . (I) Everv person not so engaged Or. «...j>l6>ed ■ as aforesaid, being in the immediate. vicinity ot anv-explosives which being - landed, transhipped, carried, removed, or handled, • shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding'fifty. ' , pounds if he: continues' to ;.attokc,r.:strike| matches, or to carry a-lig'ji; not approved Jiy an Inspector of Explosives Alter being warned not to do so. by any officer appointed under the said 'Acts, or bv any carrier licensed under tlie said Acts, or by any person engaged or ouiployed in handling explosives./ A new table of magazine charges is also proclaimed.in tho Gazette.
