Attention is drawn, in another column to the band contest to ho held in New Plymouth during the last week of this month. The content commence on Monday, Fobruary 24. Marching Competition takes placo on Thursday, February 27. Special train arrangements and excursion fares will be arranged. The official programme of' the Rotorua Carnival, 1908, and Guide to Wonderland, constitute a volume of handy size, which will bo of much convenience to tourists. The carnival, which is organised by the residents and business people of Rotorua by subscription, will bo held from February 19 to March 18. The book abounds in illustrations and in useful information concerning tho Hot Lakes district.
