PULPIT COMMENTS.
SOCIETY AND SATANIC FORCES. ' London, February 2. People were startled and horror-struck by tho news of the ninrder l of tho King and Crown Prince of Portugal. General sympathy is felt for tho bereaved Queen and the relatives of tho deceased. The Bishop of Stepney, referring to the murders in a sermon at St. Paul's Cathedral, said ho deplored the loosing of satanic forces beneath tho structure of society. Father Vauglian, presiding at Farm Street Church, said ho was less surprised than shocked. ' No thoughtful man, with his hand on Europe's ipulse, could bo surprised at the commission of tho most diabolical crimes. Caiion Wilborforeo, Dr. Clifford, and' the Rov, R. J. Campbell also expressed horror in the pulpit.
