1 0 rr-T-The annual meeting of the Hutt Golf Club was hold in the Town Hall Buildings, Lower Hutt, on Friday. -Twenty-six members were present. ' ■The election of officers resulted Captain, Dr. James R. Purdy; secretary and treasurer, Mr. Roy Cnllender; committee—Messfs. C. S. Allan, W. Callender, B. C. Kirk, and C. B. Trimnell. ' v _~ ; The' Committee,, in ;,their annual report, which ' was adopted, congratulated the CK<i " upon its satisfactory position. The member- ; ship 'had largely increased during the year,,', and now was: Ladies 56, men 106; total 162,. Tlio balance-sheet showed a balance in on the year's transactions of £57 lis. 4d:}"after providing for'outstanding liabilities. The:, •new eighteen-hole course gives-promise of being ; one of. the best in New. Zealand. . The. new', course would be over three' ifiilos in length," .with • no" crossing, and very' varied hazards. ..Unfortunately; owing to the drought, the new greens would be very rough.at the commence-./ ,ment of the. season, but in-,'time, .the greens ' would be, as hitherto', a feature of tlio course. Thei use of the old clubhouse would ,be discontinued, and a. new .clubhouse, giving -amplo accommodation, established in tlio' old Stewards Stand.
