LABOUR REPRESENTATION COMMITTEE.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS. A meeting of the Labour .Representation Conlmittee was held last evening, and attended bv about a hundred delegates. Hie chief business of the evening was the election of officers.- The following were elected:President, Mr. A. 11. Hindmai'sli (Political Labour League); vice-president, Mr. I). M'Laren (Wharf Labourers' "Union); secretary, Mr. C. 11. Chapman (Typographical Union); assistant secretary, Mr. I). Conchio (Building Trades and Labourers Union); trensarcr, Mr. E. J. Carey (Cooks' and Waiters Union). _ The following committee was appointed to act with tho officers Messrs. W. T. Young, T Eagle, W. G. Cload, E. T. Adams, W. Tees, F' T Moore, A. Carter, W. Waterwortli, and J.' A. Watts. Credentials wero received from five additional trade unions, from the Jlutt. Valley Socialist Party, and from Iho Wellington Fabian Society, making in all nearly lifly bodies affiliated to the Labour Representation Committee.
