Congress .of Y.W.C.A., arid had been prcsfeht at one of the'meetings, wliqn she was 'deeply., ihiwith tho importance of tho spiritual work done by, the . leaders. ,Sh'o bad visited the .-Association's promises and, offices, and had been very miich 'interested, iii the niiin:agentent of the restaurants', where a good dinner was supplied at a very low cost. Tho hostels interested her particularly, because of -tho hope tho 'Association has that a hostel, ■may be opened in Wellington, whoro \Vorking busy girls may,-find eongpmal dompaniqh'ship. Miss M!Leaii 'also visitbd various Y.W.'G.'A.'s in Scotland, ,ihd was p'artibujiirly: pleased with tho flourishing Association iii Glasgow, which has 2000 members arid twenty-seven 'branches.- Tho 'hostels -here are -furnished -so artistically that one feels it is an education 'for-tho girls to go. to thpin. Miss M'Leari was- present at a'Bible-reading oil orio weekday, wheh the -large hall belonging'to the building was filled with a crowd of interested girl listeners. In Genoa and at Milan Miss •Jl'Lean also visited tho Y.W.C.A.'s, and at .Genoa slio addressed the, 'girls,-, speaking through an interpreter.
