Shackleton, M.P. fbr Clithcroo and member of the Parliamentary Committee of the Trades Union Congress, to dissolve tho alliance of the trade unionists with the Socialist organisations. Mr. Maddison says it is intolerable that a trado unionist should bo compelled to subscribe to promote Socialism. The Master of Elibank (Mr. A. W. Murray, chief Liberal Whip), speaking at Warminster, advocated a militant attitude towards the red and black flags of Socialism and' Protection. Mr. Grayson, Socialist member for Colne Valley, in a spcecli at East Ham, said tho j Hull decision absolutely bound tho Labour party to Socialism. Universal pensions, provided by taxing tho rich, alone would satisfy labour. Since the Liberal party was packed with plutocrats, who rosont' irtterferenco with their plunder, they had better join tho Tories. !
