REGULATIONS FOR ADMISSION TO' RACECOURSES. / (ivr Tri,r.GHArn—jhess association.) ■ ■ Christciiurcil, Januarv 27: The following regulations for 'tho admission of bookmakers to'racecourses. lmre been, sanctioned by the Racing Conference, and aTO rccommcndcd to , all ,totalisator. clubs:—. I. Applications .for bookmakers' .licenses should 1 be inado on or before a day .to bo fixed by 'each club, prior to each raoo "meeting, and must be accompanied by i deposit equal 'to' one, day's fee.; : .' , , !' 2- Licenses may: be renewed • from. day; to day during the meeting, but subject to the licensee having; conformed \to 'the law - and- to the regulations' of the club.. . ."* ' - ' 3.-The amount of the fee for'a bookmaker shall be fixed. by each club, but no club which gives an average:of less than £400 per diem in stakes shall charge a fee exceeding £10 per diem. : N.: 1 \ 4. 15ach holder of a license'"shall bo en-; titled'to employ a clerk at a fee of 10s. per diem, ■to he paid (jp: the. club'.'(provided 1 that such clerk -is riot, and never has been, a licensed \bookmaker), but thV name .of the clerk must: bo submitted for approval, at'tlio .time of the bookmaker's , application, and must bp' 'endorsed upon, the license, and ho cliango of clerka shall bo made without tho consent of tho committco or, stewards. : , 5. Reasonable facility shall be afforded to bookmakers for communication' with such portion of the . public as may be entitled to have access to the portion of the racecourse for which such bookmakers arc licensed. , 7. ' 17. No deposit .other than the pi'oper feo shall be. required from anv bookmaker.
