Mrs. Savill and ifiss Lucy Kitson passed through Wellington on Friday on their way homo froih a visit to Hawkc's Bay. ' A Wellington lady who went up to the tennis tournament at Masterton last week reports that it was a great success, although 'unfortunately tho Dannovirko people had fixed their tournament for the same 1 day. The view of the country on tho way to Masterton; with the blazing bush fires, was most interesting, but tho>, Masterton people have not seen tho sun for a week,-so thick aro the clouds of smoke., Among the visitors from Wellington were' Mr., and .
