Kiting round the country a few days hack, pleased to see that some farmers have been able to grow some gcee'ri food for'winter in tho shapo of oats, etc;; I-noticed that, notwithstanding tho excessive dry ' weather, some of' the farmers v are busy ploughing. Thank goodness, so far no fires havo reached hero yet, and wo'fervently hope they will not.
