A Press Association from Wanganui states that tho Rev. E. Ward, who was acting Vicar at Christ Church during tho past year, and who is leaving for the Gisborne district, has beon presented by tho parishioners with a. purse of sovereigns and an address. Tho Young Men's Club presented him with a combination clock, barometer, and thermometer, also an illuminated address. The. Rev. Father Price, who for the past eight years has had charge of the Roman Catholic parish of Haivardon, has been appointed -administrator of the Cathedral at Christchurch, and will enter on his duties in the first week in March. He will bo assisted by tho Rev. Dr. Kennedy, S.M., and by Father Peoples and Father O'Hara. Father Price will bo succeeded at Hawarden by the Rev. Father Richards, of Lincoln. The Rev. Charles Inwood, of Belfast, who is one of the principal speakers at tho celebrated Keswick Conventions, landed from the Warrimoo yesterday morning. He is visiting New Zealand for the purpose of holding meetings for tho deepening of spiritual life. He will leavo for Wanganui to-morrow, and will hold meetings there fiom Sunday until Thursday next. Ho will ho similarly engaged at Dunedin during tho first week in February, and nftor a series of meetings at Christchurch will return to Wellington, and hold convention meetings hero from February 16 to 20. His Now Zealand itinerary will conclude with Auckland, and ho will sail for Vancouver about tho second week in March. On his first Sunday in Wellington, Mr. Inwood will occupy two of tho loading Nonconformist pulpits, and oil tho following day ho will meet tho ministers of different denominations. Whilo in Wellington ho will be the guest of Captain Blackburnc.
