AN INVITATION TO THE PREMIER.

SUGGESTED VISIT TO CANADA. The Executive Committee of the Canadian Manufacturers' Association have forwarded an invitation to the Premier (Sir Joseph "Kurd) to visit the Dominion. The object of the invitation is to show the appreciation of , Canada lor the good-will and kindlv interest ho has always displayed in any attempt to come to a closer commercial union. The president of the Association expressed the opinion that a visit from Sir Joseph Ward would do a great deal of good, and ho could rely not only on a most cordial response from the people from end to end of the Dominion of Canada, hut it would also' help both in matters of commerce, and in furthering; the All Red Bouto scheme. The Premier is replying thanking the Association for its cordial and courteous invitation, ami expressing regret that it is not possible at present for him to make the visit.
