. WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. A .meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Ciicket Association was held last night, Mr. C. A. Richardson presiding. ' Messrs. J. H. Pollock, and 'W. CofTcy," representing the Wellington Centre of' the N.Z.A.A.A., requested . the Association ,to prevent players belonging to affiliated clubs from'practising on. the Basin Reserve after noven o'clock every evening until after February 1,- the datcof their championship meeting, and to use'its influence; to provoiit outside players also. ••Thcjr pointed out : that intending competitors at their championship meeting could not train on the; Basin Reservo whilst players- iWero. practising,- aiid that the Basin Rcsprve wasithe only conveni: oiit ground on which competitors could train. iVith referance to the barrier round tho seats in front of the-pavilion, .'they stated that, after their Association had -purchased it from tho Crickfct Association,' the Reserves, Cohir mittee bf the City Cq'uncil had 'ordered thai it bo removed, oil tlie ground that it. had been erected without their , permission.
