A circulat :from the Labour Rppresontation'Committee inviting the Union to 'send--delegates. to act on theCommitteewas considered," and it. was decided to send six delegates,' Messrs.' R. "H. van Borssiim.v CI 11. Chapman, A. D. Robbie.-W. :Stevens, '&• B: Pardey< and "fi.E. Lewis'being elected- to, represent, the Union. The Trades • and ..Labour'. Council wrote suiting that it was proposed to start a Labour- paper, to be called "The AVillingtqn Wovker;". and "'asked/ th« Union to' appoint, representatives.' to act :'ptf a committee which would devise ways and meanr of issuing the paper.' The proposal was'favourably leceiveu, and Messrs. A. D. Eobbia' r; Rhodes, E. I?.. Willis, C..H. Chapman, W. Stevens, and,. D. Ryrie, -were, appointed' dele> gates. The report and balance-sheet weri adopted,and the following , were elected officers for the current year:—President; Mr., '.Edmund Jones; . Vice-President, Mr.. G... Chapman, it was resolved that a ballot of the memberi be' taken to decide whether' the Union woulc affiliate, with-- the ' Wellington- -Trades'.''and Labour Council.
