ORGANISING THE FARMERS' UNION.
Messrs. Naughton (Taranaki provincial secretary of tho Farmers' Union) and Cattanach (travelling representative of the Taranaki Farmers' Mutual Firo Insuranco Association), who have been canvassing for members of tho Union since December 1 last, roport that not moro than two or three per cont. of tho farmers called on have hold tiloof from tho Union. The branches dealt with havo been Eltham, Mangatoki, Normanby, and Hawora. The two latter are still being worked.
