' At Wednesday evening's meeting of the Wellington Provincial Tennis Association ciftion was received from tho Brougham Hill Tennis Club for permission to hold,an' open championship anil . handicap toiiniam'ent -at Easter-time. The application was forwarded on to . f ho New Zealand Tennis Association for favourable consideration.. The tournament is intended to take the place of the Wellington provincial championships, which- weru this year held during the New Year,-■•. Ten events have been arranged, nnd substantial prize-money provided. ' . ~. •.
