Treasury and the Homo Office, in a letter to " The Times," contends that the prosecution of Herbert Druco for perjury was a most scandalous abuse of the criminal law, since tho facts regarding the burial of his father, T. C. Druce, had been overwhelmingly proved before the Probate Court in 1901. Tho evidence brought in 1001 was called to rebut tho allegation »f Anna Maria Druco as to-the bogus burial of 180 i. The .charge of perjury recently- brought against) Herbert Druco was based on the evidence given by him in , the Anna Maria Druce suit, viz. That in 18(M ho saw his father, T. C.
