An arrangoniont lias been made between tho federated steamship owners and the waterside unions confining tho troublo to its present limits. In connection with the delayed doparturo of the Union Company's steamer Manuka, whioh has beeh at Newcastle since Friday waiting for a loading berth, tho Premier is taking steps to prevent congestion of trado at Newcastlo standing in tho way of passenger steamers obtaining bunker coal.
