Union made MO in their first turn at the wickots. In tho (icorgo and George v. Oriental game, George and George have mado 132 and Oriental 148. The annual cricket match between the staffs of the Public Works'and'Roads Departments, played at Day's Hay yesterday afforded opportunity for a very pleasant outing. Tho match was won on the first innings by the Public Works Department, who scored 259 runs to their opponents' 82. L White and D. Twohill made large scores for the Public Works, tho former retiring when lie had made 100 runs and the latter making 95. A large party of ladies accompanied tho excursionists.
