Tho building will be a fine, two-story structure, lyitn a facade of composite architectural dcS'gu, Gothic predominating. Thoro will bo live largo classrooms, two of which can be convortod into one when necessary. llie returns from the Masterton abattoir for December show that the business done at the works during that month was the smallest since the abattoir was opened.- There is little doubt but that tin; rise in the price of meat some weeks ago has had a marked onect oil local consumption. Constable H. Kyle left Masterton on Friday on a month's furlough. He purposes spending .1 holiday with his parents in the South Island.
'lhc Park Lake is to lie the scene of opeiations of a motor launch, which is being constructed by Mr. George Gray, a wellknown local bandsman, who takes a keen interest in boating matters. V
