Jan. 12, 4.42 p.m.) London, January 1L Tho sitting at Dublin of tlie Commission of Inquiry appointed ! to investigate the theft of tho Crown jewels, worth £50,000, rovealed that tho Government, in October; informed Sir Arthur Vicars, the Ulster King of Arms, that it had decided to re-constitute tho office of Ulster King of Annsj- arid to remove him from tho post. ■■:... Sir Arthur .Vicars withdrew from the Commission room, with his legal advisers, because tho inquiry was private. Ho demanded a full, public judicial iiiquiryi ■■■ ' ' , The, robbery took place in July, so the Government's intimation to Sir Arthur Vicara that lie would bo removed .from offico was sent about three months afterwards. . As stated in Saturday's issue, the jewels; wero in the official charge of Sir _ Arthur Vicars. It is said that tho safe which .contained the jewels (wliich belong to tho; Ordor of St. Patrick) also contained family plate belonging to Sir Arthur- Vicars (including a very valuable sil : vcr-gilt bow! of the time of Charles II),, and that his private loss is considerable. 1
