Both teams tied in points in the first two matches, but fho Engineers had a lead of 23 points in the aggregate scores, taking third place. THE SHOOTING. In the teams matches somo good shooting was done. Sorgt. MWlillan, of the Highlanders, totalled up 91 (30—30—31), this being tho best aggregate of the day. I'tes. Conibear and , M'Lean, of the same corps, did well at 200 yds., making 31 and 32 respectively. For the City Rifles, Sergt. Homer notched 33, and Pte. Jackson, sen., 34 points, at 200 yds.; the former, with 8S points, headed the list for his team. Sergt. Tinney, of tho Guards, top-scorer with 90 points, got 31 at the 200 and 500 yds. ranges. Some of the "P. and T/s" were in good form, particularly at 200 yds., where Sergt. Gilbert, Pte. Jones, and Col.-Sergt. Bolton made 34, 32, and 33 points respectively. Of the juniors, Pte. Cox, of tho "P. and T.'s," put up an aggregate of 90 (31—30—29), a very good performance. Col.-Sergt. Bunckenburg, of the Zealandias, top man for his team (84 points), nut up 32 at 200 yds. and 29 at 500 yds., this being beaten, however, by Pte. Egglestone, whose aggregate included 29 at 200 yds. and 32 at 500 yds. hi the other competitions among the nutt Valley Rifles, Civil Service Rifles, and the Karori Riflemen, nothing calls for special mention.
