YACHTING.

PORT NICHOLSON YACHT CLUB. Owing to tho amotuit of enthusiasm. bc- / ing taken in tho coming regatta ; the committee of tho Port Nicholson iacht Club decided, at n special meeting, to increase tho price money for the first races on tho programme for first, second, and third-class yachts. The prizes' will now be as follow first class, first prise, £10; second, £5; third, £1. Second class, first prize, £10; second, £5; third, £1. Third class, first prize, £7 10s.; second, £3; third, £1. ■ An ocoan yacht race will, in all probability, bo held towards tho: latter part of the Boason. The race will be out round Black Rock and back to the Glasgow Wharf. A beat up from Black Rock to Harwell is quite enough in a strong north-easter, but one and all have signified their willingness to compete, and if time would allow a longer course would have' been arranged. Perhaps ne>-t year this mav be done.
