The Thorndon Dinghy Sailing Club , continued its racing programme on Wednesday night. Tho race was for Mr. J. Henshilwood's trophy.- There was a full-sail southwester blowing, and a capital raco resulted. ' Tlio following boats started:—E. Bailey's .Thelma, scratch; John S. Swan's Blowfly, lmin.'; A. Aldrcd's Irex,'2.Jmin.; Jones and Sargent's Oco, 2Jinin.; 8.. Stirling's Vera, 2}min.; J; ~F. Scott's Itona, 4min.; W. Moore's Ajax, 4}jmi'n. Tho Thelma finished first' at 7hr. 39min. llsec!lrex'second at' '7hr..-40min. 15sec.; Rona third 7hr. 40min. • 25scc'. Tho rest finished as follows'Vera, 7hr. iOmin. 40see.; Ajax, 7hr. 41min. 55sec.; Blowfly; 7hr. 41min. 57scc. ; Oeo, 7hr., 48min. •7sec. Mr. F. Redmond acted as starter, judge, and timekeeper, and Mr. O. Scott framed tlio handicaps. __ A racoMvill bo sailed on Saturday afternoon for trophies presented by the Port Nicholson Yacht Club.
