BIG DONATIONS. ' Bt TELBQEitIH—rttESS ASSOCIATION—COrTBIOHT (Rec. Jan. 9, 10.10 p.m.) ' London, January 9. .Tho Veterans'-Relief Fund — which was initiated by Lord; Roberts in order to rescuo Crimean War and Indian' Mutiny veterans from the workhouse, and .which was headed by tho King with a donation of one thousand guineas—has already been increased by tho following sums: — 500 guineas, donated by Queen Alexandra; 250 guineas, by the Prince of Wales; 1000 guineas each by Viscount Iveagh (formerly Mr. E; C. Guinness), Sir Ernest Gassel, tho Duke of Bedford, and the proprietor of the "Daily Telegraph.''"
