SALVATION ARMY.

The annual concert and supper of the shelter men, as they are lonnecl, at the .Salvation Army's Workmen's Hotel took placo on Monday evening. About sixty or seventy men attended, ana an excellent programme was given by the cadets of the Newtown corps. The local staff of the Salvation Army will formally welcome Major lloldaway, the new officer m charge of the young people's work for the North Island, at a tea and social gathering, to ho held in the Vivian Street citadel to-morrow night. Brigadier Albiston the other officers, and representatives of the yonng people's work will give addresses of welcome, t-o which Major Holdaway will roply.
